JOIN ROLLER DERBY

Did you buy skates a few years ago and have they been collecting dust in your closet? Did you watch Whip It once and think “how do I do that?”. Have you been looking for a new way to exercise and make friends? JOIN SALT CITY ROLLER DERBY!

Join our New Skater Class on Thursday nights April 9th through May 21st from 6pm to 8pm at Shining Stars Gymnasium (120 Metropolitan Park Dr, Liverpool)!

NO prior skating experience is needed. We have SkateIA certified skating instructors who have taught multiple classes of new skaters how to skate AND play roller derby leading the class!

The 7-week class costs $70 with limited scholarships available. No gear? We have some to rent!

It’s time for our second annual SKATE-A-THON! This event is a fundraiser for Salt City Roller Derby, during which skaters will hit the trails and skate as many miles as they can in a 24-hour period. The skater with the most miles or most donations will be crowned SUPREME SORCEROR OF SKATING for the year at our first bout of 2026. 

HOW DOES IT WORK:

Skaters will track their miles using an app. 

Contributors can pledge a lump sum dollar amount or pledge to pay per mile. If donating a dollar amount, they can do so now at the donation link below. Just choose the skater they want to support. 

If you’d like to pledge per mile, fill out the Pledge Support by Mile form, and we will email you when the campaign is over.

Salt City Roller Derby is a volunteer/skater run, 501(c)(3) organization. We rely on community support to stay funded.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our July 19 double header has been cancelled. The beginner scrimmage will now take place on September 13, which will be a double header event!

Season ticket holders will be contacted regarding partial refunds. Please email [email protected] if you bought your season ticket in person.

We’re bummed to miss you this month, but we’re already looking forward to seeing everyone back on the track in September!
